Worry time
A technique where a person sets aside a short, fixed period each day for worrying and postpones worries that pop up at other times. It shows that worry can be put down and picked up later.
In the room
A client might jot worries down as they arise, tell themselves 'not now, at 5 pm', then spend fifteen minutes on the list at that time. Many worries already feel smaller by then.
Something a client might say
“I write down what is bugging me and save it for my 6pm slot.”
An illustrative line, not a real client.
